GPS Car and Pedestrian Navigation Features Now Available on "NAVITIME for Japan Travel"

Car navigation and pedestrian navigation will be provided in Chinese (simplified/ traditional), English, and Korean.

Tokyo, Japan -- July 31, 2018 -  NAVITIME JAPAN released GPS navigation features on its "NAVITIME for Japan Travel" service to further support visitors to Japan. Voice prompted turn-by-turn navigation will be available in Chinese, English, and Korean for cars and pedestrians.

NAVITIME for Japan Travel provides route search functions and travel guide articles for inbound visitors to Japan in English, Chinese (simplified/traditional), and Korean, and is available through smartphone apps (Android/iOS) and web browser. Two new navigation features were added today, supporting users to reach their destinations by foot or by car. Pedestrian navigation can be used for the walking sections of a route searched using the "Total Navi" feature. Along with the car navigation, a car route search feature has been added, providing four types of routes: "Toll roads," "Use local roads only," "Shortest distance," and "Best fuel efficiency." The latest traffic congestion information are considered when routes are calculated. Basic features such as route search, travel guides, public transportation time tables, and maps are free, but the navigation features require the purchase of a ticket.
