New Version of "Drive Hokkaido!" App and Website Released

Free app supporting inbound visitors going on road trips in Hokkaido updated with Korean Language and new contents

Tokyo, Japan -- August 10, 2018 -  NAVITIME JAPAN released an updated version of the "Drive Hokkaido!" smartphone app (Android/iOS) and website, which is a free service supporting inbound visitors to Hokkaido going on road trips. The service is available in Chinese, English, and now Korean. South Korea ranks 2nd in the number of foreign visitors※1 to Hokkaido following Taiwan, and 23.4%※2 of car rentals by foreign visitors in the prefecture. 
The service provides tourist spot (POI) information, MAPCODEs for setting destinations in car navigation systems in rent-a-cars, scenic drive routes, and various resource information. Content updates includes 15 new driving routes designated as a "Scenic Byway" by the Scenic Byway Resource Center, three dam sites introduced in KAWATABI HOKKAIDO, additional POI information※3, area guides and "how-to" articles. Tags have been added to spots, including one for the "Best 30" spots which claimed top access in the app since its release.
