【Japan Travel】Japan Inbound Traveler Spot Ranking Feature now Available on Japan Travel by NAVITIME App
Tokyo, Japan - July 22, 2024 - NAVITIME JAPAN has released a feature to show spot rankings on its "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" service provided to foreign visitors to Japan. It will allows users to check popular tourist destinations in a ranking format, and can be sorted by nationality or by destination.
The ranking is based on searches made by "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" app users. There are nine categories showing top 25 spots in each, which can be filtered by nationality or destination (prefecture or region). All spot information are linked to the map and route search, allowing users to simplify their planning process within the app. Ranking data are updated once a month.
You can sort ranking by nationality of a total of 15 countries or areas. They are: Asia, Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, North America, Oceania, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, U.K., U.S., and Others. This allows you to compare the interests among travelers of various regions.
Users can also sort by destinations, with a choice of 13 prefectures or regions:
- Prefecture: Aichi, Fukuoka, Kanagawa Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Tokyo
- Regions: Hokkaido/Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku/Shikoku, and Kyushu/Okinawa
Categories are based on the following:
General; Travel/Tourism; Castles/Ruins/Temples/Shrines; Nature/Gardens; Lodging; Onsen/Public Baths; Gourmet; Ramen; and Shopping/Fashion.
While there are cases where visits to certain sightseeing spots are skewed by information in guidebooks and websites and SNS postings, we hope that this feature will help people learn about the attractions of various regions throughout Japan and discover new spots.
