"Japan Travel by NAVITIME" is now available for Android and iOS smartphones
TOKYO, Japan -- March 28, 2019 - NAVITIME JAPAN updated their navigation app for inbound visitors to Japan, with new features to create a travel itinerary. The app - previously called "NAVITIME for Japan Travel" - has been renamed "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" and now includes travel articles, model plans, route search, spot information, and travel itinerary planning as basic features available for free. Paid features include GPS navigation for walking and driving, and re-routing public transportation route search (i.e., to use in case of train disruptions).

The new travel planning feature allows you to save up to 50 plans on your smartphone. Spots from search results, those introduced in travel articles, and from model courses can be added to the plan. Routes between the spots are searched automatically, and can be customized, such as by transportation method and departure time. Hotels and activities that are introduced in the articles can be reserved through the app.
