Tokyo, Japan -- August 9, 2023 - NAVITIME JAPAN has announced today that a new feature for users to create, share, and search travel itineraries has been made available on their multi-lingual travel information platform "Japan Travel by NAVITIME" ("Japan Travel").



Japan Travel provides inbound tourists to Japan with navigation, transit information, destination information, and other useful travel related services in multiple languages. Although usage of the app dropped between 2020 to 2022 due to the Covid pandemic, usage has increased 1.8 times pre-pandemic - which became a motivating factor for further enhancement in features. The app now provides features to support various phases of travel, including pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip.

The new itinerary posting feature allows user to create, share, and search travel itineraries. Users can create an itinerary by selecting spots, activities, and transportation details from the service's database, and add their own pictures and descriptions. Other users can search these itineraries and use it as a reference to create their own. Spot, activity, and transportation data are linked to the service, so it is possible to create routes using up-to-date timetables and see if the plan is feasible.
