Omio and NAVITIME Transit Announce Partnership to Enable Seamless Rail Ticket Booking for Italy, Spain, and UK

Tokyo, Japan - March 5, 2025 - NAVITIME JAPAN Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Keisuke Onishi, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has partnered with Omio Corp. (CEO: Naren Shaam, Headquarters: Berlin, Germany) to enable seamless rail ticket booking for Italy, Spain, and UK through the NAVITIME Transit app and website, starting March 5, 2025.

Europe offers excellent railway infrastructure for travel, but purchasing tickets can be complex for international visitors due to varying providers, purchasing methods, and languages. By integrating Omio's extensive ticketing platform with NAVITIME Transit's navigation services, users can now search for train routes and seamlessly book the corresponding rail tickets within the app. Additionally, the user's preferred language in NAVITIME Transit will be carried over to Omio, reducing language barriers and enhancing the travel experience.

Through this partnership, NAVITIME JAPAN and Omio aim to simplify the travel planning process, improve accessibility, and ensure a more convenient and stress-free journey for both international travelers and local commuters.

How to Book Train Tickets via NAVITIME Transit
Users of NAVITIME Transit can purchase a ticket by tapping on the button within the route search results. Users will be redirected to Omio, where they can instantly book and purchase the corresponding train tickets. This feature is available on both the NAVITIME Transit app and website.

Future Developments
Moving forward, NAVITIME JAPAN and Omio plan to expand supported ticketing services beyond the UK, Spain, and Italy to additional railway networks across Europe and North America. NAVITIME Transit also intends to introduce new features, such as route searches prioritizing purchased rail tickets, to further enhance travel convenience.
