NAVITIME JAPAN is Awarded the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2022 for its Two Services
Tokyo, Japan - October 7, 2022 - NAVITIME JAPAN has been awarded the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2022 ("G Mark", operated by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion) for two entries this year. The services awarded are TOURING SUPPORTER and NAVITIME Location Cloud. TOURING SUPPORTER is a navigation app tailored for motorcycles, and NAVITIME Location Cloud is a B to B service which allows stores to manage their business information across various media outlets.
1. TOURING SUPPORTER(Category: 18-01 Application, software for the general public / apps for smartphones and tablets)
TOURING SUPPORTER is a navigation application for motorcycles that allows users to plan tours, navigate, record touring logs, and keep track of customizations and maintenance of their motorcycles. Features include route search that takes into account tandem restrictions, engine displacement, recommended touring roads throughout Japan, and a "mass touring" function that allows riders to share their locations with each other.
The app has continued to evolve, such as compatibility with in-dash displays added this February, and a web version of the service launched in April. Routes created on the web version can be synchronized on the smartphone app.

As a navigation system specialized for motorcycles, it has a high degree of perfection, with detailed services and functions that meet the needs of riders. Motorcycle navigation systems are subject to safety considerations and operational restrictions that are completely different from those of driving a car, and they must also respond to evolving interfaces on the motorcycle, such as in-vehicle displays. These issues are carefully addressed and they have successfully created a UI/UX that is unique to motorcycles.

2. NAVITIME Location Cloud (Category: 18-05 System/service for professional use)
"NAVITIME Location Cloud" is a cloud service for store operators that allows business operators to centrally manage various store information. Store information entered into the tool is linked to various web media, such as the store's official website and external media, such as Google. Users can browse the correct store information across various media, and store operators can significantly reduce data management costs without compromising the customer's store visit experience.

For stores nowadays, it is no longer enough just to have their own website; users access information from a variety of media, including search sites, map services, and social networking services.
In order to stay ahead, stores are burdened with managing and updating information for each media. This service leverages the know-how gained from handling location information, and provides an easy-to-understand, centralized management of such information.
